The Gift of Life Foundation has been a dream in the making for Deb Handy for almost 10 years.  In 1997, Deb and her husband Jim adopted their beautiful daughter Savannah as a newborn.  During that time of waiting, Jim and Deb decided that they would start Little Angel Adoptions and help other families realize their dream of being parents through adoption.

As the years moved forward, Little Angel's has had the oportunity to form a relationship with a wonderful circle of young women who have made the amazing choice to place their child for adoption.  As this circle grew, everyone at Little Angels talked for hours about the need for a foundation that could, at a moments notice, provide the help young women need.  There were many nights that Little Angels would receive calls from young women that had no place to stay or had children they could not clothe or feed. 

One of the main objectives of the Gift of Life Foundation is to help these women, whether they place a child or not.  Many of the calls Little Angels receive are from women who just need a friendly voice that cares and some help at that moment or advice.

A few of the other objectives of the Gift of Life Foundation is to have a clothing drive for pregnant women and young children.  They would also like to have a toy drive to provide Christmas presents for some of the children who are with the women who have contacted the foundation.  There is also a college or vocational scholarship fund that young women can apply for and after a review of the application, may receive tuition assistance and/or help with books.

The purpose of the Gift of Life Foundation is to be a safe place for women to contact for some help.  We are here for a child’s future.
